If you own a home that's on an unfenced property, then you might be finding that not having a fence is causing you to have to deal with some problems. If you are having issues around your property, or you have other concerns due to it not being fenced, then you should start thinking about the type of fence you want. Here are some of the things that may be going on that you can prevent from happening with a fence as well as other reasons you would want to fence your yard:

People are destroying your lawn and/or flowers

If you have a corner home, live near a school bus stop, or you have a home in an area without sidewalks, then you may find that a lot of people are walking around your yard or even walking through and picking your flowers. If this is the case, then you should install a fence that prevents them from walking into your yard.

Dogs have been bothering your family

If you have dogs running free in your neighborhood that you feel may be a threat to yourself and your family members, then the first thing you may want to do is find the owners and let them know their dogs are a problem. If there seem to be many dogs or if the humane society doesn't seem to get a handle on the situation, then consider how helpful a fence would be. You can put a fence around the yard that prevents the dogs from harassing yourself and your family anymore. The fence will also stop any dog droppings from being left in your yard and prevent the dogs from causing any other damage to your yard.

You can't seem to leave anything out in the yard

It's always a bad idea to leave expensive items out in the yard that would be tempting to thieves. However, you may find that it doesn't really matter what you leave in your yard, someone seems to walk off with it. If this is the case, then you should think about having a fence put in. While it will still be a risk to leave expensive items outside, it is a lot less likely that someone will go through the trouble of jumping your fence to steal things that aren't of great value, such as kid's toys, yard decorations, and porch furniture, for example.
